I had a perfect life. Happily married, 2 beautiful girls, Ava & Evy, small house, chickens and a puppy. On May 15, 2014 my 10 month old daughter, Evelyn, woke up with a fever. On May 21 my whole world and heart were shattered. Something that was supposed to be a stomach bug, was not. She somehow contracted an incredibly rare infectious disease that we aren’t even sure how she contracted.
My Evelyn was a beautiful little girl full of life and happiness. We always called her our “easy” baby. She will forever be my little girl. She was only with us for a short 10 months so this blog helps me keep her memory alive. It allows me to put into writing what I am feeling and my favorite memories. I want everyone to know about my Evelyn Sarah and what a wonderful gift from God she was to me. I am so lucky to have had her in my life and I’m living my life in honor of her.

Beth,
I found your blog last night from the Facebook post about the 10K. I read every single entry while I sat outside watching Adalyn play in the front yard. Just like everyone else, I can’t imagine what you’ve been through and the awful emptiness you’re enduring. Thank you for sharing your story, and for helping myself and many other parents out there realize just how precious this gift of having children truly is. All the love to you & yours – Cassie Cooley
Prayers continue for your family
I just read some of your love posts of your beautiful daughter and came upon your daughters hand castings and the tears came…just wanted to say many things do happen for a reason and congradulations on your son joining your family…love to you and those that love you…
What a testimony! I’m feeling sad and happy at the same time. I too believe God communicates with us through signs and gut feelings. While having little Evelyn leave your family to join God’s, He does provide in His time. What a blessing for your family and for Elijah!
Good Evening. I have read a few of your blogs and cannot express my condolences. Your expressions through your blog keep Evy here with you.
A friend of mines son and daughter-in-law lost their baby at 20 weeks. She was admitted for a severe UTI. The baby was fine. Then she started to have “stomach spasms.” But my friend, her mother in law, new it was contractions. She is not doing well at all. She very depressed and not talking to anyone. Do you know of any support groups or anything that may help her?
Beth and Adam, I met you in Atlanta last week when you placed an order with me. Adam told me about your blog when I gave him your orders.
Your blog made me weep, made me thankful for a loving God who will wipe all our tears away, and made me profoundly appreciative that, in the midst of a very hectic show week, I was chosen to hear your story,
Thank you for your transparency in sharing both your heartbreaking agony and eternal hope and comfort. Without Christ there is no hope. So thankful you can cling to the One who conquered the grave and rest in Him alone.
